DCMS COLLEGE OF PHYSIOTHERAPY was established in the year 2000 under the aegis of Darussalam Educational Trust, Hyderabad. The college is located in Owaisi Hospital & Research Centre, Kanchanbagh, Santosh Nagar. Hyderabad, Telangana State. INDIA.
Our college is affiliated to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, Telangana State, INDIA.
College is attached to Deccan College of Medical Sciences, Owaisi Hospital & Research Centre and Princess Esra Hospital for conducting academic classes and clinical postings.
Objectives :
The aim of an undergraduate course in Physiotherapy is to impart in-depth knowledge and skills to a student to become competent in the techniques of Physiotherapy, and develop the proper attitude required for the practice of Physiotherapy.
To educate and train the student to independently evaluate, assess, diagnose, prescribe, plan, and practice physiotherapy in a competent manner for those who need such services, with autonomy in quality assurance and maintaining the humanitarian approach of service.
Duration of the course and details:
The duration of certified study for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course shall be four academic years followed by six months of compulsory rotatory internship.
During the four years of intensive course work, students are taught 40 subjects for a total of 3210 instructional hours including but not limited to Orientation and Instruction to Treatment, Physical Education, English, Sociology, Psychology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Electrotherapy to Physiotherapy in Orthopaedic conditions, Physiotherapy.
